I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful demo!
Mike... my first union job. Got it through the Docherty Agency here in Cleveland.
...just wanted to say thanks for all your help in getting my voice demo done...I was very pleased with the outcome and the professionalism and great talent direction that I got from you Mike.
I took the Voice-Over Workshop and am ready to make my voice demo. Since I enjoyed the class so much I'd like to work with you again. I'd really like to showcase everything I can on the demo. I'd also like to have it ready when shopping for an agent. Since taking your class I have found voice-over work doing multi-voice roles. The first was a 12-episode sci-fi audio drama called "Sectarian Wave", for which I voiced a principal human role and several different aliens. I also voiced a cartoon called "Niemansland" as a German soldier in WWI. I'd like to credit your workshop as an essential part of my success.
Excerpt from book...
What is your dream? How far do you want to go? Narration and commercial voice work is much sought after by most performers, and for a very select group the rewards for voice work are usually in direct proportion to the amount of energy expended. Take Alan Bleviss... the voice of the National Democratic Party in the USA representing all Democratic candidates...from the President of the US to the local sheriff in Tidewater Beach Florida... the voice of Enterprise Automobiles, AT&T, countless American movie trailers...CBC, The Royal Bank.
I met Alan at his apartment in mid-town Manhattan some years ago. As I walked in the front door, I was lambasted by a cacophony of sound from different television sets and radios over the length and breadth of the apartment. Alan was listening to all the networks at once. He knew every voice on every commercial, and which announcer was doing the promos, liners and station IDs on each network. The man was in the know. He worked an average of 5 hours a day in various studios across New York City while his chauffeur waited for him curbside in his town car. At the Palm restaurant on 2nd Avenue, a Sardis for the broadcast performer, we were seated at a table over which was drawn a Hirschfeld caricature of none other than Alan Bleviss. He is a man most respected by his peers, a man used to making millions of dollars.
Alan Bleviss is an Actor from Toronto.
